If you can't stand the heat

In Decorah Iowa last week President Obama told a woman:

Democracy is always a messy business in a big country like this,” Obama responded. “When you listen to what the federalists said about the anti-federalists … those guys were tough. Lincoln, they used to talk about him almost as bad as they talk about me.”

If you stand the heat, get the hell out of the kitchen.

For a man who can always find a reason to feel sorry for himself, he can always find a reason to blame someone else for his problems, last week was a tough week. I don’t know if he was talking about before or after eleven states left the Union preferring to go to their own way, and accept the risk of war rather than have Lincoln as their President.  The comment, absurd on way too many levels to get into here, was typical of Obama. 

The stock market was reacting poorly to Standard and Poors downgrade of the Country’s credit rating.  They didn’t seem at all reassured when he told them and the nation it was a political move by S&P.  The pundunt’s had even acted like him ordering the Department of Justice investigate Standard and Poors might be an act of Political revenge on his part.

His bus trip didn’t go as planned.  Even though the White House had carefully explained the trip was a fact finding tour, the TEA Party people were complaining about it costing millions of dollars a day of taxpayer money for him to campaign.  Some of the questions were unexpected.  This isn’t a good thing for someone used to using a teleprompter.

Rural Americans are growing concerned about they see as an attempt by executive order to implement the United Nation’s Agenda 21.  He thought he’d easily explained away one question by a farmer who was concerned about government interference.

 He was promptly made a liar by a Politico Reporter, M.J. Lee, and his own Department of Agriculture when the reporter took his advice, and called the USDA and asked the question, after having been given the run around for several days Lee concludes the report this way:.

Finally, I call the USDA’s main media relations department, based here in Washington, where I explain to a spokesperson about my failed attempts to obtain an answer to the Illinois farmer’s question. 

This was their response, via email:

“Secretary Vilsack continues to work closely with members of the Cabinet to help them engage with the agricultural community to ensure that we are separating fact from fiction on regulations because the administration is committed to providing greater certainty for farmers and ranchers. Because the question that was posed did not fall within USDA jurisdiction, it does not provide a fair representation of USDA’s robust efforts to get the right information to our producers throughout the country.”

When I quoted Lee I skipped over the details of the run around the reporter got, but they, and the comments at the end of the story make “Obama’s unhelpful advise”  worth spending a few minutes reading.. Even on a major publication like Politico, any time an article gets 500 comments. It’s worth the read.

If you’ve ever had a little kid in the candy aisle of a store, you’ll you can understand Barack Obama.  The child will ask if they can have something, when you tell them no, they’ll grab something else and ask again, this time the No is a little stronger.  The Third time you tell them NO with a stronger explanation then before, they might seem to accept it or they might throw a temper tantrum. Either way, if you don’t discover it first, when you go to check out, you’ll find something in the basket you weren’t expecting

The Homeland Security announcement last week that would allow most of 300,000 illegal alien infiltrators already facing deportation to remain here didn’t go over to well.  Many if not most Americans see it as another example of the Obama Administration’s contempt for the Constitution, Congress and the will of the American People.  The Administrations logic is exactly the same as the kids logic.  Congress refused to pass my immigration agenda, so I’ll try sneaking it into the shopping cart.. and if they don’t see it, or if they don’t get to mad, I’ll get my way..

Americans are also beginning to figure out Arne Duncan at the Department of Education is trying to sneak Obama’s Education Agenda into the cart as well.  Except for the people who make money of it, no sane person believes No Child Left Behind is working.  Congress has declined so far to either reaffirm NCLB or replace it with Obama’s scheme to centralize control of education at the Federal level.  Since Congress hasn’t specifically said no.. (and if they did Obama wouldn’t sign it anyway) Duncan is trying to sneak Obama’s version of Education Reform into the basket.  Existing law allows the Sec of Ed to grant Special Case Waiver’s from the law’s requirements. 


Since the law was unrealistic to begin with, most states can’t meet the law’s requirements. Duncan’s solution:  Legislation by extortion.  Sign on to Obama’s agenda, of face the consequences under existing law.  Very much like the child telling the parent, let me have it or I’ll cause a scene and you’ll be in trouble.

Then there were more revelations about Operation Fast and Furious, I believe the only reason Eric Holder hasn’t already been removed from office is several key members of the Senate, starting with the majority leader, put political party over the well being of the country.  I don’t know if in the end, that will be enough to prevent his removal after the American People finally get all the details, last week’s events bordered on sickening.

The Justice Department decided that the families of Border Agent, Brian Terry were not the victims of a crime. Terry was killed by a weapon the US Government illegally sold to a gun runner, knowing that it would end up in the hands of the Mexican Drug Cartels. 

We found out dozens of other weapons sold by the Federal Government had been found eleven violent  crime scenes here in the United States…

We found out that three of the men who supervised the operation had been promoted.   A couple days later the Justice Department tried to take back the story. TI guess were surprised at the way Americans reacted. That’s not surprising considering how disconnected this Administration from the way normal Americans think.. 

Shades of Big Brother; Stalin, Hitler and Mao all in one.  There’s another serious story coming to light.  If the story is accurate the Obama Administration illegally spent millions of taxpayer dollars diverting people trying to research Obamacare on the Internet to government propaganda sites.  It seems Obama wants Americans to “think” they’re making informed decisions, after they’ve intentionally been spoon fed misinformation.  That's Obama’s vision for America,

I’m sure I missed a few, it was a long week.  The last one I’ll mention involves the President and the Muslim Brotherhood.  Most American’s, like myself up until a little while ago, are not aware the Muslim Brotherhood is not on the US Terror List. Don’t ask me why, I don’t know. After all this administration considers Christians and veterans potential lone wolf terrorists.


Last week we found out Obama is appointing members of the Brotherhood to key positions in his Administration believe it or not this was reported months ago but generally over looked by the Media.  Maggie has one of the best reports on the affair I’ve seen anywhere on the Internet during the past week post on her website Maggie’s Note Book.  The report includes a video of a speech made by Tarek Fatah, a self described Liberal Marxist who actively supported Obama during his 2008 campaign for President, his opinion of Barack Obama has changed considerably:

Instead of bringing victory over the fascist forces of the Muslim Brotherhood, we now recognize that their infiltration is right up to the American White House, but we can’t say that.”

“Today we are fighting another idea of Islamo-fascism that has shut our mouths and we can’t speak because we’re too scared that someone may turn around and call us a racist. And mind you, everyday as I speak, a few dozen Muslims would have been killed by now by these Jihadi’s.

Why the President would appoint people who are part of an organization that hates America, and the American way of life is beyond me, and I think it’s beyond most people.  While we try and figure it out, the President, who is undoubtedly exhausted from three grueling days of having to talk to ordinary Americans, is recovering at Martha’s Vineyard.  (at taxpayer expense). 

So at least for the moment he’s out of the kitchen.  I read a blog yesterday that suggested as he reflects over the events of the past week he may decide that being President is more trouble than it’s worth and resign.

We should be so lucky..

The HALT Act

For those of you that are as uninformed as I was a few hours ago, the long term for the HALT Act is Hinder the Administrations Legalization Temptation Act.  Personally I'd have made it Halt the Administrations Efforts to Legalize Illegal Aliens, but Halt makes a better acronym... The reason for the law is obvious, the Constitution demands that the President 'take care to ensure that all the laws are enforced'.  There's nothing there that say's he can pick and chose which laws to enforce, it says all the laws.  In all fairness, every President has made an occasional exception. but never on a large scale.  I've lived under twelve Presidents, none of them have abused that clause in the Constitution anywhere near as much as the Obama Administration.

Immigration or conquest by mass migration?

Think about his policy towards Arizona.  Eric Holder is said to have told his people not to enforce any civil rights cases unless the victim was a minority, his handling of the Black Panther Case is a clear example.  He uses regulatory authority to create and enforce laws in a way that would have gotten his predecessor impeached.  This is especially true in the way he hasn't dealt with the invasion of illegal infiltrators along our Southern Border

Chairman Smith: The American people have called upon Congress to defeat several amnesty bills in recent years.  Following Congress’ rejection of these attempts, the current administration now wants to grant a “backdoor amnesty” to illegal immigrants.What had once been rumor fueled by leaked administration memos is now official Department of Homeland Security (DHS) policy as of last month.  The Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) issued two directives on the scope of DHS officers’ prosecutorial discretion that could allow millions of illegal and criminal immigrants to avoid our immigration laws.

I was interested in what the actual document had to say, it was a surprisingly short five pages, and written in non legalize English the guts of the law were very straight forward.. The discretion of the administration to circumvent the law by excluding entire categories of illegals from deportation is suspended until January 21, 2013 at which time the law would expire.. From the text of the proposed law the Administration is allowed several special case exceptions.. 

except to the extent that the discretionary authority conferred under such section is exercised for the purpose of

15 paroling an alien into the United States—

16 (1) to be tried for a crime, or to be a witness

17 at trial, upon the request of a Federal, State, or

18 local law enforcement agency;

19 (2) for any other significant law enforcement or

20 national security purpose; or

21 (3) for a humanitarian purpose where the life

22 of the alien is imminently threatened.

I don't think any reasonable objection can be made  to holding criminals or national security risks for trial..and if convicted punishment. . We damn sure don't want to deport witnesses to crimes or people who might be considered intelligence asserts.  As for the last one, regardless of how the vast majority of Americans feel about illegals, as a nation we wouldn't stand for deporting individuals when we know for that person, it's death sentence.


Overall it's a good law.. The idea that as a nation we have to accept people and grant them virtually all the rights of an American Citizen, because the infiltrated our borders is idiocy.  If you come home a find a burglar in your house do you invite him to move in, or call the police to take his butt away.

One of the few things transparent about the Obama Administration has been his courting of the Hispanic vote.  He supports of La Raza and other organizations that help illegals evade and circumvent our laws, often by getting them fraudulent documentation.  That's a hell of strong indication he does't care how much of the Hispanic vote he gets comes from people voting illegally.  The big objection to voter ID has nothing to do with racism, it has everything to do with getting. pro democratic party, illegal votes counted.. Most of remember Harry Reid won his last term because of the Hispanic vote.  At the time a number of people asked questions.  They were ignored, and Eric Holder sure as hell wasn't going to look into it.

I'm afraid that's the end of the good news.  I see very little problem getting the legislation passed in the House.  It doesn't stand a dogs chance in Hades as long as Harry Reid's Senate Majority Party continues to act like democrats instead of Americans.. 


 So until then we can look forward to more of this..  

Obama, pandering for illegal voters

Yesterday Barack Obama addressed the National Council of La Raza, a group that openly encourages illegal immigration, opposes any effort to close the borders or return illegals to Mexico. They believe illegals should be entitled to all the benefits of US Citizenship including Drivers Licenses and the right to vote... (that last being key).


They don't believe the United Sates has the legitimate authority to control access to, or have a say in who enters the country, of to set criteria for entry....  While their website doesn't endorse reconquista, the group has been linked to the idea by a number if websites that conducted their own investigations, these include Michelle Malkin and  Front Page Magazine   On the Sonoran Alliance we have several videos of students allegedly encouraged and backed by La Raza La taking over a Tuscon School Board meeting.  Here's the first one (There are several), followed by a little history

This is nothing new

In Chicago on July 27, 1997, then Mexican President Ernesto Zedilla told the National Council of LaRaza, "I have proudly affirmed that the Mexican nation extends beyond the territory enclosed by its borders." He announced a Mexican constitutional amendment that purports to allow Mexicans to retain their Mexican nationality even though they become U.S. citizens (which is contrary to the U.S. naturalization oath).

When President Vicente Fox came to the United States this year, he reiterated this line, proclaiming that "the Mexican nation extends beyond the territory enclosed by its borders" and includes migrants living in the United States. He called for open borders and endorsed Mexico's new dual citizenship law. 

Some Mexicans use the term "reconquista," which is Spanish for reconquest, to describe their desire to see California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas acquired by Mexico and named the new country of Aztlan. They are teaching their youth that the United States "stole" those areas from Mexico and that they should be returned."Mexico's claim to the Southwest originated with the 1494 Treaty of Tordesillas, which drew an imaginary line on the map to divide the Western Hemisphere between Spain and Portugal. Because geography had so many unknowns at that time, Portugal got only Brazil (which is why Brazilians speak Portuguese).

Other countries never recognized this treaty, and Americans consider it ridiculous even to talk about giving the Southwest to Mexico. Most national borders all over the world have come about as the result of war.Mexicans obviously have no thought of invading the Southwest with troops, so their hope is reconquista by migration, both legal and illegal. According to Mario Obledo, founder of the Mexican American Legal Defense & Education Fund, "California is going to be a Hispanic state and anyone who doesn't like it should leave.

An amnesty rally in the Los Angeles Sports Arena on June 10, 2000 attracted 25,000 people. In demanding amnesty for illegal Mexican aliens, the speakers proudly announced the names of at least a dozen unions in Los Angeles that are now headed by Mexicans.Vicente Fox presented Mexico's Congress with a five-year development plan to eliminate the U.S.-Mexican border. He said he plans to serve "the 100 million Mexicans who now live in Mexico and the more than 18 million who live abroad," and to "strengthen our ability to protect and defend the rights of all Mexicans abroad." 

Juan Hernandez, appointed by Fox as special liaison to Mexicans abroad, lobbies to get U.S. driver's licenses issued to illegal aliens and defends the Mexican government's issuance of desert survival kits to those sneaking across the border. On ABC's Nightline on June 7, he boasted: "We are betting that the Mexican-American population in the United States ... will think Mexico first.

I don't know about you, but there seems to be enough there to indicate an investigation of La Raza is more in order than the honor of an I live you guys visit from the president...Then again this guy loves the Arab Brotherhood, guess he figures that with his charm they'll forget they've been our sworn enemies for almost a century... Getting back to La Raza, why would a US President want to address a group that openly defies America Law... 

For Votes... Barack Obama is well aware the Illegal Infiltrators can easily get false Social Security Cards, Birth Certificates, Drivers Licenses and other documentation they need to become registered voter..  Several States, like Maryland, have dropped the requirement that voters present ID at the polling place in order to vote.  In past demonstrations, La Raza activists have made it very clear if he doesn't do what they want, he won't get the illegal vote..

Is it legal, for the President to pander for illegal votes?  Isn't that encouraging illegal voting?  I'm afraid that's a" I report you decide question.."  In my opinion he's openly encouraging illegal voting and trying to build an illegal voter base.  The Democratic Majority in the US Senate thinks otherwise....

This how the President started his pandering address to La Raza:

Right off the bat, I should thank you because I have poached quite a few of your alumni to work in my administration. (Laughter.) They're all doing outstanding work. Raul Yzaguirre, my ambassador to the Dominican Republic -- (applause) -- Latinos serving at every level of my administration. We've got young people right out of college in the White House. We've got the first Latina Cabinet Secretary in history, Hilda Solis. (Applause.) So we couldn't be prouder of the work that so many folks who've been engaged with La Raza before, the handiwork that they're doing with our administration. And as Janet mentioned, obviously we're extraordinarily proud of someone who is doing outstanding work on the Supreme Court, Sonia Sotomayor. (Applause.)

So he brags about hiring people who have been part of, or worked with a organization dedicated to the disobedience and circumvention of United States Law and who may be doing it directly or indirectly at the behest of a foreign power..  With democrat in the White House,  Harry Reid  has forgotten, what that implies, he'd have remembered  quick enough if Bush had done something similar.

That wasn't the only thing that raised a few eyebrows

Now, I know some people want me to bypass Congress and change the laws on my own. (Applause.) And believe me, right now dealing with Congress-

AUDIENCE: Yes, you can! Yes, you can! Yes, you can! Yes, you can! Yes, you can!

THE PRESIDENT: Believe me -- believe me, the idea of doing things on my own is very tempting. (Laughter.) I promise you. Not just on immigration reform. (Laughter.) But that's not how -- that's not how our system works.

AUDIENCE MEMBER: Change it! 

THE PRESIDENT: That's not how our democracy functions. That's not how our Constitution is written.

There's a video out  of that statement I'm not going to post it- he backed off quickly enough to make it appear like a harmless statement..  Kinda like he was trying to be funny...  He'd never make as a stand-up comedian, with or without the teleprompter, he may have just been pandering.  By the same token, It may have been a warning to Congress, he's got a bad habit of trying to regulate, and use executive orders to manipulate his way around the Law, Congress, the American People and The United States Constitution.  I think the American people see it, the House of Representative sees it but the the Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid is a democrat first, the politician in charge of the US Senate second. somewhere down from there he remembers he's charged with protecting the Constitution and the American People.


As Americans we have a responsibility to make sure the politicians we elect remember their obligation is to the American People, it is not to a political party, and it's damn sure not to encourage people who have broken our laws by entering the country illegally to vote illegally. Politicians who engage in activities like that should be removed from office as rapidly as legally possible, through election, recall or impeachment....  


For a president to give his endorsement and encouragement to an organization like La Raza knowing what I've found out about La Raza is, n my opinion is a criminal act.
