For those of you that are as uninformed as I was a few hours ago, the long term for the HALT Act is Hinder the Administrations Legalization Temptation Act. Personally I'd have made it Halt the Administrations Efforts to Legalize Illegal Aliens, but Halt makes a better acronym... The reason for the law is obvious, the Constitution demands that the President 'take care to ensure that all the laws are enforced'. There's nothing there that say's he can pick and chose which laws to enforce, it says all the laws. In all fairness, every President has made an occasional exception. but never on a large scale. I've lived under twelve Presidents, none of them have abused that clause in the Constitution anywhere near as much as the Obama Administration.
Immigration or conquest by mass migration?
Think about his policy towards Arizona. Eric Holder is said to have told his people not to enforce any civil rights cases unless the victim was a minority, his handling of the Black Panther Case is a clear example. He uses regulatory authority to create and enforce laws in a way that would have gotten his predecessor impeached. This is especially true in the way he hasn't dealt with the invasion of illegal infiltrators along our Southern Border

Chairman Smith: The American people have called upon Congress to defeat several amnesty bills in recent years. Following Congress’ rejection of these attempts, the current administration now wants to grant a “backdoor amnesty” to illegal immigrants.What had once been rumor fueled by leaked administration memos is now official Department of Homeland Security (DHS) policy as of last month. The Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) issued two directives on the scope of DHS officers’ prosecutorial discretion that could allow millions of illegal and criminal immigrants to avoid our immigration laws.
I was interested in what the actual document had to say, it was a surprisingly short five pages, and written in non legalize English the guts of the law were very straight forward.. The discretion of the administration to circumvent the law by excluding entire categories of illegals from deportation is suspended until January 21, 2013 at which time the law would expire.. From the text of the proposed law the Administration is allowed several special case exceptions..
except to the extent that the discretionary authority conferred under such section is exercised for the purpose of
15 paroling an alien into the United States—
16 (1) to be tried for a crime, or to be a witness
17 at trial, upon the request of a Federal, State, or
18 local law enforcement agency;
19 (2) for any other significant law enforcement or
I don't think any reasonable objection can be made to holding criminals or national security risks for trial..and if convicted punishment. . We damn sure don't want to deport witnesses to crimes or people who might be considered intelligence asserts. As for the last one, regardless of how the vast majority of Americans feel about illegals, as a nation we wouldn't stand for deporting individuals when we know for that person, it's death sentence.
Overall it's a good law.. The idea that as a nation we have to accept people and grant them virtually all the rights of an American Citizen, because the infiltrated our borders is idiocy. If you come home a find a burglar in your house do you invite him to move in, or call the police to take his butt away.
One of the few things transparent about the Obama Administration has been his courting of the Hispanic vote. He supports of La Raza and other organizations that help illegals evade and circumvent our laws, often by getting them fraudulent documentation. That's a hell of strong indication he does't care how much of the Hispanic vote he gets comes from people voting illegally. The big objection to voter ID has nothing to do with racism, it has everything to do with getting. pro democratic party, illegal votes counted.. Most of remember Harry Reid won his last term because of the Hispanic vote. At the time a number of people asked questions. They were ignored, and Eric Holder sure as hell wasn't going to look into it.
I'm afraid that's the end of the good news. I see very little problem getting the legislation passed in the House. It doesn't stand a dogs chance in Hades as long as Harry Reid's Senate Majority Party continues to act like democrats instead of Americans..
So until then we can look forward to more of this..
Yesterday Barack Obama addressed the National Council of La Raza, a group that openly encourages illegal immigration, opposes any effort to close the borders or return illegals to Mexico. They believe illegals should be entitled to all the benefits of US Citizenship including Drivers Licenses and the right to vote... (that last being key).
They don't believe the United Sates has the legitimate authority to control access to, or have a say in who enters the country, of to set criteria for entry.... While their website doesn't endorsereconquista, the group has been linked to the idea by a number if websites that conducted their own investigations, these include Michelle Malkin and Front Page Magazine On the Sonoran Alliance we have several videos of students allegedly encouraged and backed by La Raza La taking over a Tuscon School Board meeting. Blasted U.S. immigration policies on Sunday and promised to fight harder to protect the rights of Mexicans in the U.S., saying "Mexico does not end at its borders." and where ever there is a Mexican there is Mexico

In Chicago on July 27, 1997, then Mexican President Ernesto Zedilla told the National Council of LaRaza, "I have proudly affirmed that the Mexican nation extends beyond the territory enclosed by its borders." He announced a Mexican constitutional amendment that purports to allow Mexicans to retain their Mexican nationality even though they become U.S. citizens (which is contrary to the U.S. naturalization oath).
When President Vicente Fox came to the United States this year, he reiterated this line, proclaiming that "the Mexican nation extends beyond the territory enclosed by its borders" and includes migrants living in the United States. He called for open borders and endorsed Mexico's new dual citizenship law.
Some Mexicans use the term "reconquista," which is Spanish for reconquest, to describe their desire to see California, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas acquired by Mexico and named the new country of Aztlan. They are teaching their youth that the United States "stole" those areas from Mexico and that they should be returned."Mexico's claim to the Southwest originated with the 1494 Treaty of Tordesillas, which drew an imaginary line on the map to divide the Western Hemisphere between Spain and Portugal. In demanding amnesty for illegal Mexican aliens, the speakers proudly announced the names of at least a dozen unions in Los Angeles that are now headed by Mexicans.Vicente Fox presented Mexico's Congress with a five-year development plan to eliminate the U.S.-Mexican border. He said he plans to serve "the 100 million Mexicans who now live in Mexico and the more than 18 million who live abroad," and to "strengthen our ability to protect and defend the rights of all Mexicans abroad."
Juan Hernandez, appointed by Fox as special liaison to Mexicans abroad, lobbies to get U.S. driver's licenses issued to illegal aliens and defends the Mexican government's issuance of desert survival kits to those sneaking across the border. On ABC's Nightline on June 7, he boasted: "We are betting that the Mexican-American population in the United States ... will think Mexico first.
I don't know about you, but there seems to be enough there to indicate an investigation of La Raza is more in order than the honor of anI live you guys visit from the president...Then again this guy loves the Arab Brotherhood, guess he figures that with his charm they'll forget they've been our sworn enemies for almost a century... Getting back to La Raza, why would a US President want to address a group that openly defies America Law...
For Votes... Barack Obama is well aware the Illegal Infiltrators can easily get false Social Security Cards, Birth Certificates, Drivers Licenses and other documentation they need to become registered voter.. Several States, like Maryland, have dropped the requirement that voters present ID at the polling place in order to vote. In past demonstrations, La Raza activists have made it very clear if he doesn't do what they want, he won't get the illegal vote..
Is it legal, for the President to pander for illegal votes? Isn't that encouraging illegal voting? I'm afraid that's a" I report you decide question.." In my opinion he's openly encouraging illegal voting and trying to build an illegal voter base. The Democratic Majority in the US Senate thinks otherwise....
This how the President started his pandering address to La Raza:
Right off the bat, I should thank you because I have poached quite a few of your alumni to work in my administration. (Laughter.) They're all doing outstanding work. Raul Yzaguirre, my ambassador to the Dominican Republic -- (applause) -- Latinos serving at every level of my administration. We've got young people right out of college in the White House. We've got the first Latina Cabinet Secretary in history, Hilda Solis. (Applause.) So we couldn't be prouder of the work that so many folks who've been engaged with La Raza before, the handiwork that they're doing with our administration. And as Janet mentioned, obviously we're extraordinarily proud of someone who is doing outstanding work on the Supreme Court, Sonia Sotomayor. (Applause.)

So he brags about hiring people who have been part of, or worked with a organization dedicated to the disobedience and circumvention of United States Law and who may be doing it directly or indirectly at the behest of a foreign power.. With democrat in the White House, Harry Reid has forgotten, what that implies, he'd have remembered quick enough if Bush had done something similar.
That wasn't the only thing that raised a few eyebrows
Now, I know some people want me to bypass Congress and change the laws on my own. (Applause.) And believe me, right now dealing with Congress-

THE PRESIDENT: Believe me -- believe me, the idea of doing things on my own is very tempting. (Laughter.) I promise you. Not just on immigration reform. (Laughter.) But that's not how -- that's not how our system works.
AUDIENCE MEMBER: Change it!
THE PRESIDENT: That's not how our democracy functions. That's not how our Constitution is written.
There's a video out of that statement I'm not going to post it- he backed off quickly enough to make it appear like a harmless statement.. Kinda like he was trying to be funny... He'd never make as a stand-up comedian, with or without the teleprompter, he may have just been pandering. By the same token, It may have been a warning to Congress, he's got a bad habit of trying to regulate, and use executive orders to manipulate his way around the Law, Congress, the American People and The United States Constitution. I think the American people see it, the House of Representative sees it but the the Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid is a democrat first, the politician in charge of the US Senate second. somewhere down from there he remembers he's charged with protecting the Constitution and the American People.
As Americans we have a responsibility to make sure the politicians we elect remember their obligation is to the American People, it is not to a political party, and it's damn sure not to encourage people who have broken our laws by entering the country illegally to vote illegally. Politicians who engage in activities like that should be removed from office as rapidly as legally possible, through election, recall or impeachment....
For a president to give his endorsement and encouragement to an organization like La Raza knowing what I've found out about La Raza is, n my opinion is a criminal act.
