Whole Foods bills themselves as the worlds largest retailer of organic foods with 279 retail outlets in Canada, the US and United Kingdom. According to their website they're Greener than anything Obama or Al Gore can dream of accomplishing.. They get their produce from local organic farmers who they help out with loans when the farmers need help..
Now admittedly I'm not big on veggie's to begin with, organic or otherwise So far no on has been able to make green energy viable and almost daily more "settled' Climate Change Science gets proven not to be so settled, and some of it's been proven to be absolute fraud.. But, if other people want to, why should I care?
In short the company is as politically correct as possible...
It annoys the hell me because many of those other people are the same ones that mock the Christian and Jewish religion.. You can't buy a Christmas Ham anymore-- you can buy a Holiday Ham. Retailers by and large have decided too many people get offended by Christian Holidays so they avoid mentioning them by name..or even allow their employees to wish someone a Merry Christmas...
Whole foods has no such reservations, if the holiday is Muslim.. they recently ran these two promotional blogs on their website...

Ramadan is fast approaching, and I’m getting my kitchen ready for a month of celebration with my family and community. In case you’re not familiar with Ramadan, it is an incredibly important holy month for Muslims. Not surprisingly for the politically correct, and America's President, it's inappropriate to suggest anything that might support a Judea-Christian message of any sort.. but for some reason the PC crowd seems to live Islam- even with it's treatment of women, opposition to homosexuality, continuing practice of slavery and all the other things they claim to hate so much, including the absolute control of Government by the religion.

Anti-Israel Whole Foods “Caves” After Schlussel Ramadan Post, But Not Really
The American Muslim world, the anti-Semitic and phony ADL, and left-wing media and blogosphere (including crackpot turncoat Charles Johnson) are upset that I posted aboutanti-Israel Whole Foods’ Ramadan promotion, and as a result of my post Whole Foodsappears–appears!–to have caved. But that’s not really what’s going on. Don’t believe the hype.
As I reported to you over a week ago, Whole Foods is the first national supermarket chain to do Ramadan promotions. But the promotions were never going to be in store promotions, only online.
No in-store promotions for the campaign are planned, instead, in an apparent attempt to test the waters, the promotion will start online. The “campaign focuses on reaching Muslim consumers online.
There were never going to be in-store promotions because Whole Foods is cowardly and wanted to hide its Ramadan celebration from even its liberal, progressive, wealthy White clientele, some of whom might (might!) be turned off because they are phonies and hypocrites just like Whole Foods execs are. Lame. I work for Whole Foods. We have plenty of Christmas, Hannakah, Roshashana, New Year's, Back-to-School, Fourth of July, and Valentine's promotions, etc, etc. A Ramadan promotion makes sense in communities where the clientele are celebrating this festival. Debbie Schlussel is a bigot. And, so, I fear are you. You sound like someone with chronic inflammation, the sort I would expect from a non-veggie eater. Grumpy, irritable, and woefully misinformed.
