The Forgotten Man - Jon McNaughton

Against the background of a darkening sky, all of the past Presidents of the United States gather before the White House, as if to commemorate some great event. In the left hand corner of the painting sits a man. That man, with his head bowed appears distraught and hopeless as he contemplates his future. Some of the past Presidents try to console him while looking in the direction of the modern Presidents as if to say, "What have you done?" Many of these modern Presidents, seemingly oblivious to anything other than themselves, appear to be congratulating each other on their great accomplishments. In front of the man, paper trash is blowing in the wind. Crumpled dollar bills, legislative documents, and, like a whisper—the U.S. Constitution beneath the foot of Barack Obama.

Holy crap. That was powerful. Would have to say most notably barry, jec, clinton, LBJ, RMN, FDR, and Wilson. They all should be ashamed of themselves.

ReplyDeleteA lot of people might scream about this, particularly those who would burn the flag with impunity, and the types of people who spit on our soldiers returning from Vietnam. But they had their say, and this man is having his. And as long as there are a few people left who care enough to make a statement like this, we might yet hang on to this Republic of ours for a little while longer.
ReplyDeleteFDR probably prolonged the Depression, he also managed to get us through WWII. Bush Sr should have finished his war.. then Iraq wouldn't have been issue. Junior didn't need to finish Seniors War, we would have gone back eventually-- yes. It wasn't smart to it when we had an enemey that was posed an imminent threat.

Phil.. don't know, but I'm glad to see you here. Most of us don't have anywhere near the artistic ability of McNoughton but I think Noverber will prove there are many, many people willing to teach "The One" some basic leadership skills.
Is there another Captblackeagle here...or is this black eagle person a copycat?

ReplyDeletehow America came about. A much needed Revolution.
If necessary, we will have another Revolution.
Obamas attempt to totally change America hopefully will not be sucessful. We the people will prevail, eventually, again. Stand fast and pray that God will fight for America (We the People).
