Democrat Vote Buying

Talk about vote buying and walk-around money! The Democratic party is now pushing a $26,000,000,000 bill to keep 140,000 of its primary voters (teachers and other union members) employed. Let’s assume for a minute that there will actually be 140,000 persons employed. Yes, yes, I know, not a single one of the “stimulus” or “jobs” bills passed by the Democrats has come close to providing as many jobs as they claim. But let’s assume they get this one right (yes, yes, I know, it would be an absolute miracle but lets just pretend for the moment).

This works out to $185,000 per vote – I mean per job. This equates to about $125 per hour of work! No wonder the USA is in debt and sinking rapidly. And no wonder the union keeps voting for Democrats - I mean $125 per hour is one tremendous salary for teachers. . . or almost anyone else in the lower, middle, or upper middle class.

  1. Off the top of my head, $70,000 will fully fund a $50,000 job, Pay, Social Security, Health-care (employee only), Workman's Comp, miscellaneous and a healty chunck towards retirement.

That gives us 14,000 Jobs per Billion Dollars, Ten Billion would fully fund 140,000 decent jobs. Where the hell is the oter 16 Bil going?

  4. Grumpy-I made a comment but can't seem to get past the sign in page.

Let's face it, bumpy is the epitome' of the proglibs, if the facts are not on your side attack the messengers. The effectiveness of that tactic will be evident in November. For teh first time ever even Gallop has more Americans blaming obama for the economy than Bush. It just goes to show that people are not as stupid as obama thinks they are.

  6. Apparently "recovery Summer" and "unemployment benefits create jobs" are no more than meaningless words. New UE claims went up to 479,000, the second rise in the last three weeks. And each week those numbers tend to be revised upwards though you have to dig deep into the media websites to find the rest of the story.

Sure looks like putting the Republicans back behind the wheel and going in reverse is far preferable to going forward off the cliff.
