I've always wondered this myself... and now I know !
People born before 1946 were called The Silent Generation.
The Baby Boomers are those born between 1946 and 1959.
Generation X people have been born between 1960 and 1979.
Generation Y were born between 1980 and 2010
Why do we call the last group Generation Y ?
Y should I get a job ?
Y should I leave home and find my own place ?
Y should I get a car when I can borrow yours ?
Y should I clean my room ?
Y should I wash and iron my own clothes ?
Y should I buy any food ?

ReplyDeleteI divorced a baby boomer for a GenX'r and couldn't relate at all. Now I've trader her in for a newer model "Y" and now I'm asking myself "Y"? It's like having a shiny new car that won't start in the morning, breaks down when just when you want it to work and is all show but no go. She is planning how to quit working before she even starts.

How are we going to sell these clowns on the idea of paying into the system for Social Security, Medicare Unemployment Insurance and the rest of the system? They are lazy, but not stupid.
