We have long memories ya bloody bastards….

A great catch today by my friend over atGds44′s Blog via Thomas Lifson atAmerican Thinker.

Kerry spokesman stripped of Silver Star

Back in 2004 Swift Boat Veterans for Truth forced the attention of the MSM and the nation on presidential candidateJohn Kerry’s very situational integrity, his three
very questionable
undeserved Purple Hearts for minor scratches and an even more dubious Silver Star.

Like a deer caught on a wind-surfboard, for months Kerry tried to ignore, ridicule, attack and bluster through the avalanche of truth that called into great question the mythology  of the most prominent and highly-decorated Anti-Vietnam Veteran; a 90-day Vietnam veteran in the country.

Fighting back Kerry, brought in Navy Captain and former Deputy Assistant Secretary Wade Sanders (USNR) to denounce the Swifties for Truth as liars and Nazi propagandists; Sanders was a fellow Swift Boat officer (shown below) and also awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart.
Ahh, but the Leghorns have come home to the coop:

Wade Sanders is now in Federal prison, serving a 37-month sentence for possessing child pornography. Now the Navy Times reports that Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus has revoked Sanders’ Silver Star.
The highly unusual decision appears unrelated to Sanders’ felony conviction. A Navy spokesman cited “subsequently determined facts and evidence surrounding both the incident for which the award was made and the processing of the award itself.” John Kerry has to be hoping this doesn’t become a trend.
As one might imagine, the media has ignored this story. Even the Navy Times declined to post its own article online.

  2. Thought li'l johnny was one who supposedly threw those medals and ribbons away. I still see a silver star ribbon above the left breat pocket on his utilities. Guess he never read the guidebook on when and when NOT to wear ribbons.

Not at all uncommon for those undeserving to receive awards. Case in point would be barry's, gore's, arafat's and carter's nobel peace prize

  4. J.F. Kerry would like you to remember his decorations but forget about his Congressional testimony; Hanoi Jane wants to blame all her misfortunes on Hillary's "vast right-wing conspiracy"...don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

  5. Grumpy - I am still a subscriber, but give my copies to my neighbor once I finish them. He in turn gives me his copies of the Marine Corps Gazette.
