Casey People Should Live Their Own Life

Casey Anthony was acquitted of the most serious charges against her and now all the experts that already had her convicted and don’t know what to think or say. Bottom line is that after listening to the evidence a jury of Ms Anthony peers concluded there was reasonable doubt. Their conclusions are the only ones that matter. All the opinions of all the commentators, pundits and so called experts are meaningless. Personally I didn’t think she committed first degree murder but negligent homicide, but that like everyone else doesn’t mean squat.

Keeping in mind that at the beginning and end of this story it is a great tragedy, but the most interesting facet of this story is the publicity, pundits, and all the people who have been putting their lives on hold and obsessing over this case. I am not blaming the media for sensationalizing the case. More viewers/readers mean more profits after all.

The people who are allowing this story to take over their lives need help. They need to live their own life.

The people fighting for a ticket to the trial need to live their own life. The people fighting in the Anthony’s front yare need to live their own life. The people crying in the swamp where Caylee’s body was found need to live their own life. Yes the story is a tragedy and not yours. There is a Latin proverb that states, “Live your own life, for you will die your own death”.

So yet again that this is an interesting and compelling tragedy and it makes for interesting and compelling conversation but don’t fall into the trap of making it your own. You’ll feel better for it. Personally I have enough problems of my own and I don’t need the problems of people that I don’t know.

  1. AG - well said!

But wait, tomorrow at 9 AM she will be sentenced by the Judge; and someone has sued her in Civil court for defamation of character; and where will Casey go when released; how will she find work; etc and etc. (Just kidding!) ha ha ha.....

As for our own lives; if I wrote a book, I would have to entitle it "Believe it or Not"! :)
