I don't see anything there about the President being able to choose which laws he's supposed to enforce..There is nothing in the Constitution that gives the President the power to make laws, modify their meaning or to reinterpret them to suit his personal political agenda..
From the begining Obama made it clear he care to much for the restaints placed on the office. He's called the Constitution a deeply flawed document. Under President Obama, department after department, from Enviroment, to Homeland Security and even the Department of Education have tried regulating their way around the Constitution and Congress.. Congress as usual is blowing a lot of hot air and doing Nothing... except passing some BS resolutions that Obama is joking about on the way to his next golf game..
The latest example his our involvement is Libya.. The President is telling Congress they don't know what the law they passed to prevent a President from doing exactly what Obama is doing was written for.. Congress is barking, but they don't have the guts to do anything..

On the flip side, Senator Lindsay Graham disagrees with these efforts and said he would not support them in interviews this weekend. There is not agreement over U.S. and NATO involvement in Libya it seems. How Congress decides to continue military funding will be most interesting.

ReplyDeleteMad Pole his Libyian logic applies as much to Syria, if not more so than is does to Libya.. You can apply it to several countries in Africa.. For some reason he decided he wants Ghaddafi dead... this isn't much more than a expensive assignation attempt.
