Department of Education's SWAT Team??

We have a couple updates to this story courtesy of Realitycheck4 eve

Lets start with the video.. Wright tells how he and his children were treated by Federal Agents.  He also talks about repeated questions concerning repaymant of student loans..  He doesn't mention any questioning about Fraudulent Student loans..

Between Homeland Security's TSA and the Department of Education's cops..  the government isn't being too kid friendly these days...

This link will take you to a copy of the Federal Search Warrant, I think the agents pushed the outer edge of a warrant that was overly broad to begin with.. I felt it left the agent free to go on a fishing expiedition fishing.

This story is changing a lot faster than I can type... It started off with an email from Sandra titled Are you ready to get Mad with a link to an article in Raw Replay about a guy having his door busted in by a SWAT Team, being handcuffed and dragged to a police car, in his under ware, where he was held for six hours with his three kids...

Kenneth Wright of Stocton said the SWAT Team was looking for his wife who had defaulted on student loans.. She wasn't there..

There was a video at the bottom of the page from ABC News 10, but the link had been taken down.  The report went on to say the local police hadn't been involved.  The local police confirmed that except for providing two cars at the scene as  witnesses they weren't in volved.

A glance at the Internet told me the story was going viral. besides a host of small websites, Huffington and Daily Kos had picked it up.... on the other side of the table, so had Michell Malakin..

My first thought was; Okay this guy had a run in with the cops, he wants to get even so he's talking out of his rear end..  the thing is that would have been the same thought the local ABC Station would have had... but they ran it..  Most bloggers are going to be careful for the same reason.  Huffington and Michelle Malikan have been burned because they didn't check out a story..  KOS doesn't worry that much about the truth..

Any way, while I was snooping around the Department of Education must have realized how bad they were starting to look, Justin Hamilton, the Education Department’s press secretary, issued a statement..that said in part.

While it was reported in local media that the search was related to a defaulted student loan, that is incorrect. This is related to a criminal investigation,” he said. “The Inspector General’s Office does not execute search warrants for late loan payments.”
Hamilton declined to say why the raid occurred, because it's an ongoing investigation.. but added the Department issues 35 to 40 warrants a year for things like fraud and embezzlement..

Justin Hamilton also didn't happen to mention why it was necessary to keep Kenneth Stockton handcuffed and confined in the back of a police car with three young children for six hours while they trashed his house.  They weren't looking for him or the kids.

They were looking for someone who wasn't there..

And who the hell did the SWAT Teams belong to??

  1. It was just a matter of time. janut and the Dept. of Homeland Security put all veterans and gun owners on a potential watch list back in 2009. Seems we may become domestic terrorists. Go Figure. A good thing I do not also have the Gadsden flag as a bumper sticker. Under eric, the DOJ has a definate agenda.

  2. Is this the same SWAT team that the Kenyan dispatched to the gulf after the BP oil rig exploded? We never did find out why, I do not expect answers in this case either. Welcome to Amerika.

  3. I wonder if the SWAT team was sent to Bernie Madoff's residence?
