The similarity between the the names has caused an unprecedented number of media blunders since Obama announced Osama's sudden passing last Sunday night.. double check Ok, I got it right.. I made the mistake once myself, luckily it was in a private email.. Others haven't been so lucky as Big Journalism reports;
.
There is a resemblence. Just wondering if this negates the current ROE and Field Justice.
ReplyDeleteGive me a break. Now the dogooder PC cult folks are complaining about the Geronimo code name. Perhaps Operation “Sheethead” would have been more appropriate.
ReplyDeleteMarine.. Geronimo and the US Military were never on good terms.. For the reason, if he was still around, he might object to his name being used.. Until he thought about the operation itself..
ReplyDeleteIt's the same king gutsy thing he'd try.. He'd look a the skill, timing, disciple and toughness of the warriors. The very real risk (and satisfaction)of going right next to the Paki Military Academy.. The courage it required... All the very best traits of his Apache Warriors..
Yeah he'd look at that and realize the name was an honor....
I think it was a poor choice in names but that being said do we really need hearing on capital hill about it. For goodness sakes there are many more important things they should be doing.
ReplyDeleteDumb ole me. I thought Geronimo was a tribute to the wily old fox. It took 10 years, billions of dollars, a lot of lives to run him to ground.
ReplyDeleteYep, last I heard he was pheasant hunting in southern Iran.
ReplyDeleteWonder what we spent, translated into today's monopoly money in the ten tears it took to catch Geronimo
