It's a complicated story and one difficult for most Americans to understand. On her website Real American Defend Israel a very angry Bee Sting managed to do what I couldn't figure out how to do. She put it this way

AND THE OUTCOME OF THIS REPORT WAS THE BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN USA AID TO GAZA/HAMAS AND THE PALESTINIANS. OH, THE UNITED STATES VETOED THE REPORT, BUT AT WHAT PRICE? THE PRICE WA S A BETRAYAL FROM HER ONCE CLOSES ALLY, THE UNITED STATES; BOYCOTTS; OPEN CONDEMNATION FROM OUR STATE DEPARTMENT AND THE ENTIRE ADMINISTRATION; WEAK ARGUMENTS THAT WHILE HAMAS IS A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION, ISRAEL IS NO BETTER THAN THOSE WHO FIGHT AGAINST HER

We know a lot more today about what happened in the Gaza war of 2008-09 than we did when I chaired the fact-finding mission appointed by the U.N. Human Rights Council that produced what has come to be known as the Goldstone Report. If I had known then what I know now, the Goldstone Report would have been a different document...... As a result of Richard Goldstone's not knowing, Hamas was given aid by the Obama Administration, the aid was used to buy missiles, the missiles were used to attack Israel and kill civilians.... Might just be me, but I think our President might need to do a little more investigation of his own before rushing to do everything the UN suggests..

Can't help but wonder if threats from Hamas had anything to do with the first report
ReplyDeleteHamas, a/k/a The Muslim Brotherhood, was voted to become the Palestinians leaders; the Palestinians rejected Abbas; the vote was not even close! The Palestinians were sick and tired of Abbas and his crooked politics, which left no room for the Palestinians to grow and flourish; so, out with Abbas and in with Hamas.
ReplyDeleteHamas, a known terrorist organization, became the leader of the Palestinians and thus, should have ended the reign of Abbas.
But, Bush and Rice could not accept the new-found democracy with that vote; so, they were forced to reject Hamas and sided with Abbas to the tune of billions of dollars in aid, military training, modern technology ... all which eventually is being used, and will be used against their enemy, Israel.
To choose either side is like choosing the worse of two demons; and to force Israel to accept one or the other should be listed under modern-day crimes against the Jew among Nations, Israel.
Hamas and the Palestinians may decide to join forces to undermine Goldstone's reasons for a half-hearted apology. The lies will be poured out, heaping fire on top of the flames of the Arab Palestinian propaganda, the UN and the West's comprehension of what "peace" in the ME will look like if it were not for the State of Israel remaining a thorn in their side.
How is it that the world will believe the lie, rather than the truth? They accept the words of the Hamas terrorists, perhaps to cover their own A$$, for contribution to the cause of the Arab Palestinians for so long, without Congressional investigations.
"Know thy enemy", well, "the enemy is in the gates", "to arms, to arms". But our armanent is truth and the left controls the media. So, my fellow Revere's, it is time to, "mount up and move out."

Goldstone was just another garden-variety useful idiot who let his inflated ego dictate.
ReplyDeleteTo his credit though, it seems that he eventually realized this and had enough honor to man-up and admit his mistake- to a certain degree.
Unfortunately, the damage had already been done.
