Let's get Brian Aitken out

12/21/10 Brian Aitkens sentence has been commuted to time served, he is to be released as soon as possible, with luck he'll be home for Christmas

After being sentenced to seven years in prison for a disputed gun violation, Aitken will now be able to spend Christmas at home

===============================================================

On December 2nd I published a post here about a Anti Gun Judge and what he did to Brian Aiken   If you recall Brian was tried by the now disrobed NJ Judge James Morely and sentenced  to seven years in prison for committing a crime.. that was only a crime in the Judges mind.  Brian's non crime was transporting a firearm responsibly and in full compliance with New Jersey Law.  You can read Brian Aitken needs some help if you happened to miss the story earlier.

Here is where it stands now, New Jersey Governor Christie is considering a pardon for Brian and has promised to make an announcement one way or the the other before Christmas.  For a Governor to issue a pardon, he has to be reasonably sure it's not just a question of righting a wrong but he also needs to be able to justify it politically.  If Gov. Christie can issue the Pardon with an announcement that his office received tens of thousands letters cards emails and phone calls requesting he pardon Brian, he looks like a hero.. Governors like looking like hero's..

That's were everyone one reading this comes in.  Yesterday Jenna Marie Bostock, Editor-in-Chief,  Alister & Paine  send me this and ask me to post it here. Remember if it can happen to Brian, it could happen to any of us.

  2. I agree Marine..

    It would go a long way.. shows support for gun owners and the Second Amendment and at the smae time says he has the courage to right the wrongs of activist judges.

  3. Remind me please, how did this judge get disrobed? You meant he was "fired", right?

    Keep updating on this issue please.
