Strategic Withdrawal

Sometime last fall I argued that Obama didn't care about losing his Majority in the House this fall. I guessed then and believe now, Obama would consider it a good thing. The way he thinks, it's a strategic withdrawal. When a major offensive fails, you reposition, sacrificing a percentage of your forces to cover your rear, so you can continue the war. A setback for the commander, a death sentence for some loyal soldiers. Most of the time a commander will insure that certain key officers are kept safe.

 By the end of his first year, Commander Obama realized his frontal assault on American values and tradition was failing. The Republican enemy had put up unexpected resistance to his initiatives. On top of that a damned clandestine guerrilla underground of teabaggers, had appeared out of no-where, sabotaging his every move and undermining his support among all but the most loyal of the population.  Blaming failures on the previous commander wasn't working and his concept of a "Greater Good" was in danger,  more importantly, his own survival was becoming questionable.  Even his ordinary troops, the progressive liberals were showing signs of mutiny, desertion and apathy were becoming  common.  His two elite forces, the US Senate and The House of Representatives weren't preforming up to expectations.  The Senate was firmly and safely entrenched in a defensive position, and not about to risk the losses that would come from going on the offensive.  The House of the other hand had been on offense so long they were exhausted.

Now; almost six months into his second term the situation for Obama has become worse for him.  Morale among his ordinary troops is becoming non existent, his lack of leadership ability was clearly evidenced on the Gulf as well as Arizona fronts.  The realization has dawned that he himself may be ousted in a couple years has hit him.  There's even an outside risk his own party might ask him to resign or not seek a second term.  The solution for Obama is remarkably simple.  A strategic withdrawal, let House Democrats cover his rear while he hunkers down for two years.  Short of a few key "Senior Officers" almost every Democratic member of the House is now an acceptable casualty.  He, The Obama,  has to be protected at all costs.

The loss of field advantage  gives him two years to convince the Country and the World of all the wonderful things would have done... if the Democratic Members of the House had done a better job of standing up to the Republicans in November 2010...  then his agenda would have save the country.  They are the ones let the Republican Enemy block all the wonderful things he was going to do.. What blame doesn't get piled on the House losers gets dumped on the obstructionist Republicans.

If the Democrats hold the House with only a weak majority, and the current Senate majority remains close to the same, Obama has no excuse for failure.  Obama's best hope for keeping the White House in 2012 is for the Democrats to lose this year

This gives Obama a way to implement his favorite strategy, Blame Others and Promote Himself.  He can spend two years bragging about all the benefits American would have if only......   If he does it right, he gets Congress and the White House in 2012.  The genius is,  like stimulus job creation they'll be no facts to prove his points, or to disprove them either.  Traditionally standing on a soap box calling the president a liar only get's you laughed at, unless you can prove it.

A fact, The Obama is well aware of..

  1. Piffle, GE - I'm still in the wait-and-see mode with BHO. I can't see that McCain, Bush, or even Palin could have done any better with the situations that have happened since the inauguration

  2. Old Lady;

    It's great to see your name up there in the corner.. If I'm not careful this place might become Fair and Balanced.

    How they would have responded to the Gulf or dealt with the economy are questions that can't be answered. It's relatively safe to say they wouldn't have forced through legislation that 60% of the Country opposed or filed a lawsuit against Arizona. I'd also be willing to say that allies like Israel and England wouldn't be questioning the strength of our relationship
